Joseph visit back to the orphanage

Updates....

I guess we don't have enough electrical devices for me to keep up with the blog...seems like something is always being occupied ;-)...I have to give Mike credit for the last one as he was the one that wrote that.....Yesterday we went to the Police Station to get some paperwork completed but other than that the day was pretty free...every day Joseph comes out of his shell more and more...we laugh so much at him...he is very very boy...getting more rough and tumble every day...last night Burke (our 9 year old friend) was playing with Joseph and they were playing very "boy like"...all of a sudden Joseph whipped out the big guns and spit right in Burkes face...and....his spitting looked like he had quite a bit of practice...if spitting impresses you, (only James probably...) you would be very impressed....his momma and daddy were not impressed, we had to have a soft..."we don't spit" talk...not that he understood but I think he "understood"...we went to his orphanage today along with 3 other families...although it was not fancy it was very clear that the caretakers loved Joseph and the children there...we brought a birthday cake to share with the kids since he turned 3, 2 days before we got him...daddy Mike thought the cake was made of gold since it cost $60 but in my opinion it was worth every penny :-)...although the orphanage seemed loving, it is still obviously an orphanage.....when we got there we were greeted by a lady that worked in the kitchen that seemed very excited to see joseph...she scooped him up and loved on him...when we went to the classroom he seemed very comfortable there and went and sat in his chair...he also went easily to his teachers when they reached for him...and he came back easily to me when it was time to leave...the hardest thing about leaving was his caregiver...she broke down in tears...made me happy she loved him so much but broke my heart for her....we also visited his abandonment place...a very nice hospital...a cardiology hospital in particular...his parents were very intentional...he was 19 months old when he was left outside the cardiac ultrasound room...leaving him probably saved his life but probably crushed theirs forever....it is a privilege to call Joseph our son but it is more than humbling to get to parent him when his bio parents probably wanted to so badly...we feel blessed by the day but also felt a weight for his parents, his nannies and the children waiting...again, thanks for sharing this journey with us...my words are few by the end of the day so I will try to attach pics that speak for themselves....ps...kuddos to andrea my "blog manager"... :-)
thanks aunt andrea for my "3" shirt don't i look handsome??? thanks to elizabeth pegg for making the shirt.
